Of course, what is always left out is that Pres. Bush holds the HIGHEST approval rating ever too. Got a link?

Here you go: blog.washingtonpost.com/behind-the-numbers/2007/07/approval_highs_and_lows.htmlInteresting, JFK only got to 80%, Clinton, with no little irony, can only claim 69. You know that with your almost constant call for links that you know we can provide for you, Mink, you will start being hammered to provide supporting evidence for your claims. And, to get this back on topic. Why did the left do all it could for 8 years to be obstructionist, and then have the gall to come all and be willing to do what was being asked of them for those 8 years as if it were a brand new idea? Hypocrits!

funny that mink always asks for links but never provides any.
where is your link to the disapproval ratings?
btw, congress was down to a 9% approval rating (91% disapproval, right?) yet we just re-elected most of those bastards AGAIN!!! what gives?

See the thread that Mink and Saunterelle highjacked to the election and our explaination of how the constant barrage of biased "news" by anchors who admit doing all they could to be favorable to Steve. With that type of unpaid advertizing, is it any wonder all the capons got back in?

Hypocrits! Ok, granted. I admit, the whole country supported Bush after 9/11. It is ashame he let that approval rating go down when he said he didn't even think about Osama Bin Laden anymore and went into Iraq with forever changin reasons to stay. As for my asking for links, you will recall even crossride was nice enough to admit I am constantly expected to provide links to support my statements. Why are you acting so confused? Obstructionists? No, we called him on everything. That is being a true patriot. I can't speak for all Democrats or every citizen for that fact re: clean up or volunteerism, but I did my share. It is quite rewarding to be able to help those in need. Which brings me to Bush requesting the country to help. I rmember him suggesting we join a faith-based group placing the burden on churches instead of asking for individuals throughout. Obama's request was quite successful and I wouldn't bring it up to compare, but you pointed it out.

I always provide links and the reason I didn't here is because I had posted in an earlier thread and noted it. BTW, the congress you made reference to didn't do well because the Dems' majority was too slim and they didn't have the numbers to pass anything- thank you Republicans.

Yes, really, I started a thread in 2008 about Bush being the most unpopular president and provided the link with his disapproval rating. What you call my excuse is the truth, but you are in denial. The 2006 Congress was hardly a majority at least in the Senate to be able to pass any constructive bill. As for you asking me if I disagreed with Obama on anything, my response was he just started and to give it time.....no crickets.

I suppose the drone in Pakistan is on his watch. I don't necessarily agree with it, but we'll see what happens. Other than that, should I be upset at anything?

Excuse me for barging in on this topic but I have a question for Mink.
If you have a problem with Obama killing innocents in Pakistan why don't you speak up about it? Why aren't you on the streets with other liberals in SF blocking traffic and carrying signs saying:
Stop this endless war!
Obama = war criminal
Pakistan didn't attack us!
You and your people did just that over the last 5 years. Why are you content to sit by and brush it off now?
I think it is called being a hypocrite. It was bad when it was our guy but now it's okay since it's your guy.
Obama should be tried for war crimes. Why aren't Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid working on that?
Why didn't Obama get UN approval and build a coalition of nations before he killed those innocents in Pakistan?
I'd love to hear your answers to these questions.

RWA, first of all I never said I have a problem with the drone in Pakistan. The question was if I have any disagreements with Obama. I would like to see some explanation and I'm sure he knows after what went wrong in Iraq that the anti Iraq war crowd will be watching. What you need to understand instead of jumping to an eye for an eye conclusion is, the country as a whole was behind Bush 100% on 9/11 and into Afghanistan. You should know the rest of it from there. He did not finish the job, with bin laden and al qaida, hence the anti-war rallies. What you also need to understand is, it is not "my people", we are Americans. Obama inherited two wars, a hugh deficit, a bad economy, high unemployment....then there are the other important issues, healthcare, education...etc. While you guys are upset with the outcome of the election, you fail to remember how this all came about. Just a reminder: Bush messed up. BTW, welcome to our forum. Glad to have you onboard!!
