And we have strayed off topic. So why were the liberals content to just sit on their butts and do nothing but whine rather than going out and DOING THE WORK NEEDED? Why only on the last full day did it sink in that they didn't have to just mope around, that they really could get out, get their hands dirty and make a difference?

I guess you think the 78% of Americans who think that Bush was a godawful President who led our country down the toilet are just suffering from BDS, right? And I am sure that somehow you translate the 90% of Americans who think congress is doing an even worse job then Bush is somehow a political mandate for the left. But wait, there is a Democrat majority, how can that be?

Yes, and depending on the poll, it goes as high as 73%, from what I've seen- this is nationallly However, when it comes to the economy, it was as high as 95% disapproval among Democrats, although I don't know why Republicans would like the recent economy or recession. Maybe it is do to the fact that Republicans know who is constitutionally responsible for the economy. And who controlled that house.

funny that mink always asks for links but never provides any. where is your link to the disapproval ratings? btw, congress was down to a 9% approval rating (91% disapproval, right?) yet we just re-elected most of those bastards AGAIN!!! what gives? They dropped another point? Wow, that is another record low for a congress. And gee, every low approval rating for congress has been under Democrats. As well as Democrats being in charge for every new low. Now we are getting true picture of why our economy is so screwed up. Good thing they were able to blame Bush. Only, now he is gone.

Why did the left do all it could for 8 years to be obstructionist, and then have the gall to come all and be willing to do what was being asked of them for those 8 years as if it were a brand new idea? Hypocrits! Obstructionists? No, we called him on everything. That is being a true patriot. Remember that Mink the next time you are reading someone's post about Barack Steven Hussein Obama.

really? you loyal liberals are something else. you've got an excuse for everything. i asked in another thread what issues you disagreed with obama on. i think all we got from you on that one was crickets. Yes, really, I started a thread in 2008 about Bush being the most unpopular president and provided the link with his disapproval rating. What you call my excuse is the truth, but you are in denial. The 2006 Congress was hardly a majority at least in the Senate to be able to pass any constructive bill. As for you asking me if I disagreed with Obama on anything, my response was he just started and to give it time.....no crickets. The 2006 Congress had a 9 point higher approval rating. Now it is 9%, that is a huge drop in relation to the increase in the number of Democrats that are taking office.
