But hey, we can forgive him for his Clinton politics, right? I mean, it is Chicago style and it should be expected.
That is why when he says things like, "Reverend Meeks is not involved in my campaign," we know he is lying. I mean, how could he not be lying, since Reverend Meeks appeared in ads for the Senator’s Senate Campaign, and continues to raise money for him during his Presidential run. And, Reverend Meeks is a spiritual counselor to Obama as well as being one of his delegates from Denver. Not to mention his inviting Obama to campaign at his church and appearing in a commercial for him as well.
Yet, Reverend Meeks continues to tear up the pulpit with his anti-White and anti-Gay rhetoric. Which puzzles me as to why you folks supporting Gay Marriage can support someone like Obama, who is clearly endeared to such people as Reverend Meeks and Reverend Wright. How do you square that with your conscience?

Issues? Is anyone here going to discuss the issues. War: Obama wants out, McCain wants another 100 years. Economy: Obama wants more education especially in techinical fields which we are sadly lacking. Pell Grants restored. McCain-expand exisiting non-funded"No Child Left Behind".Free choice as to shool and vouchers.
Just some comparisons. There is a definite line between these candidates and our choices will be definitive. This will definitely be about Conservative versus Liberal.
Oopps...gotta go...wife in the room....

But hey, we should give Obama fair exposure right? Like his role in the sub prime lending scheme that brought this nation to its knees, but it is easier to blame Iraq then people defaulting en mass on their mortgage loans, right?
I quote Senator Obama: "I have the best plan to cure the Mortgage crisis."
What is that plan exactly and who will be in charge? Penny Prizker, one of the architects of the Subprime Lending Scheme and Senator Obama’s Finance Chair on his Presidential campaign.
Penny Pritzker is a member of one of the richest banking families in the United States. She, along with Ernst and Young, helped concoct the mortgage manipulation that has resulted in the real estate collapse in the U.S.
Senator Obama’s plan does not call for a moratorium on foreclosures nor does it call for interest rates to be frozen to assist homeowners in catching up with payments.
Additionally, Senator Obama has a long list of Sub Prime donors to the tune of $1.18 Million Dollars: $266,907 from Lehman, $5395 from GMAC, $150,850 from Credit Suisse First Boston, $11,250 from Countrywide, $9052 from Washington Mutual, $161,850 from Citigroup, $4600 from CBASS, $170,050 from Morgan Stanley, $1150 from Centex, and last but certainly not least, $351,900 from Goldman Sachs.
Yep, he has the best plan alright, but it is not for curing the mortgage crisis, it is for padding his pockets with rich donor's cash.

I'm pretty sure the now infamous "100 years" comment wasn't commiting our troops for 100 years, but, by using hyperbole, Sen. McCain was saying that he would do what it takes to finish the job.
No one wants to be at war for 100 years. Except for the French and English... What does that say about the English? I mean come on... 100 hundred years to fight the Frogs and you still get beat by a woman... Sure sure, she was a herald of God and all, but come on! I guess they made up for it by turning all Imperialistic.

Issue Number One, experience. Obama is severely lacking in this area. Issue Number Two, truthfulness. Obama is documented to have lied at least 67 times in issues directly related to this campaign. Given the Democrats hate of lies, that alone should be enough to finish him. How about his ethnicity? Why does he lie about that? He claims to "understand what it is to be an African American." Yet, he is 50% white (mother, both sides), 43.25% Arabic (father, both sides) and 6.25% African Negro (father, one side, 1 generation removed). He certainly does not meet the legal definition of Black, which is 12.5%, the legal threshold one must prove to claim racial status under the law for any race. And why does he fear his religious background so much? He claims his "My Kenyan Grandmother has always been a Christian." Yet, by her own words she performs her daily Salat prayers at 5am according to her own interviews (per Islamic law). Not to mention, Christianity does not allow for a woman to be one of 14 wives to 1 man. He claims to support the second amendment, "I support a 2nd Amendment right to bear arms." Yet he favors banning semi-automatic guns and adding more severe restrictions to possession laws. He also favors lawsuits against gun manufacturers for mis-use of their products. This would be the same as suing an Automobile manufacturer for a person intentionally running over pedestrians. As if we are not litigious enough. And the list keeps going, and going, and going...

Obama on the economy. I will give you change, left in your pocket after all the tax increases I support. Now, if he actually came out and said that, then it would be refreshing, since it is the truth.

Now, if he actually came out and said that, then it would be refreshing, since it is the truth. The same thing was said by the Right before Bill Clinton took office. Did you go poor during Clinton's 8 years? No, actually our economy boomed and we had a much needed surplus. What did Bush do with our surplus? Turned it into a massive deficit and plunged us into recession. It is high time for another Democrat in the White House.

First, the surplus was a sham, it was created using unspent Social Security Money. And, don't forget that Clinton was the first President in the history of this nation, as far as I can tell, to authorized the creation of a ten year T-Bill. Funny, those should have come due starting about two years ago.
Also, Clinton broke his promise not to raise taxes. Not even a year into office, so he gave me an economic burden, not a boom. And, if you recall, the tech industry took a dive when the bubble burst under Clinton. And, the economy was in a slide during his last two years in office as well.
Lastly, the single largest period of sustained growth came under Ronald Reagan, not Bill Clinton.

Also, foreign debt and trade imbalances began to increase exponentially under Clinton. They continued under Bush. This is a problem no matter who is President. Obama will do the same thing.

The one legacy Clinton truly left, the moving of the greatest manufacturing sector ever created from the United States to Foreign countries. That is his real legacy.

Obama has been in the Senate a total of 143 days. From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working. After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan. 143 days -- I keep leftovers in my refrigerator longer than that. In contrast, John McCain's 26 years in Congress, 22 years of military service including 1,966 days in captivity as a POW in Hanoi now seem more impressive than ever. At 71, John McCain may just be hitting his stride. Source
