Barack Obama explains socialism

Four thousand supporters turned out for a rally with Senator Barack Obama in Durham, North Carolina, on Thursday. The Democratic presidential candidate said he would not take any questions, but he relented when a five-year-old girl named Hadassah Jones broke into tears. She was there as a correspondent for brandnewz.com.

According to the Associated Press story, Senator Obama gave the little girl a brief explanation of his plan for universal health insurance coverage and improved education. Then he explained his view that the wealthy should pay the expenses of people who are not wealthy:

"We've got to make sure that people who have more money help the people who have less money," Sen. Obama said. "If you had a whole pizza, and your friend had no pizza, would you give him a slice?"

Oh, my. He should have stuck to his plan to take no questions.

Senator Obama glossed right over the difference between a moral imperative to be kind to people and government force that throws people in jail if they refuse to pay up.

When a presidential candidate says "We've got to make sure," that is the language of government force.

I still don't see any evidence of socialism here. Most Marxists, communists and socialists advocate the complete nationalization (state ownership) of the economy. Obama isn't for that. He leans left but you can't paint him as a socialist. If I were using your logic I would be calling Bush a fascist all over the place. Although he might have fascist leaning I know better than to label him a fascist.

Our country will go pretty far left this election. It will provide working class people some much needed relief after 8 years of Republican rule. Then it will swing back the other way at some point. The pendulum is in constant motion.

What part of this quote don't you understand?

Now, as to your definition of socialism, it is way off base. Germany is a socialist nation, and the state does not own everything. That is not how socialism works. That is communism.

Now, back to Obama.

Who was the last President to promise a tax cut and did not deliver? I remember hearing George H.W. Bush say, "read my lips, no new taxes." And then he lost the election because he let the Democrats raise taxes without a veto. Man did they hit him over the head with that.

In fact, in that election, his predecessor said, "I will give you a middle class tax cut." Not even a year into office he broke that promise with the biggest line of B.S. I ever heard. And then he got re-elected, after breaking the same promise as Bush. But, that was due more to the bills passed in the House and Senate by Republicans that put this country back on track, and extended the growth that Reagan started. Billy Jeff got the credit, cause he was sitting in the White House getting his BJ's and signed the bills, but he did not author them. Not to mention his historic tax increases before the Republicans gained control of the House and Senate.

Now, you have Obama, he is making the same promise as Billy Jeff did. Will history repeat itself? Because there is no such thing as a Democrat that does not want to tax you more, so they can spend more, and point to what they spent your hard earned money on to get re-elected. And, like Billy Jeff, Obama is taking credit for the work of others, as he has not authored any quality legislation I have ever heard of. And, how long will it be before he breaks this promise.

Remember, he made promises to never disenfranchise voters, yet he broke that promise in his very first election. He is a pure Democrat politician through and through, ready to lie at the drop of a hat. And Democrats, who claim to hate liars like Bush, will vote for him anyway. The revel in their hypocrisy.

I am going to prove you are liars, that McCain did not say he would continue the War in Iraq for 100 years. Here is the exact question and quote.

Questioner: "President Bush has talked about our staying in Iraq for fifty years…"

McCain: "Maybe a hundred. Make it one hundred. We’ve been in South Korea, we’ve been in Japan for sixty years. We’ve been in South Korea for fifty years or so. That’d be fine with me as long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed. Then it’s fine with me. I would hope it would be fine with you if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where Al Qaeda is training, recruiting, equipping and motivating people every single day.

Now, equivocate on that you two bald faced liars.

In fact lets hear from a verified liar on the subject.

In February, Obama said: “We are bogged down in a war that John McCain now suggests might go on for another hundred years.”

And, on a separate occasion: “(McCain) says that he is willing to send our troops into another hundred years of war in Iraq.”

Now there are two lies in a row, easily verified. And you two are going to vote for a liar, even though that is your biggest argument against Bush. He lied. Well, Bush may not have lied, he may have gotten bad information and acted. But, Obama is a verified liar, using his own words. That you can not deny, and you are going to vote for a known liar.

And, by the way, I agree with the article. The press is misleading the public in many cases about what John McCain said, just like you two. The bury the quote deep in the article, where lazy democrats will not find it, since reading is so painstakingly difficult. Or, they do not put the exact quote in at all.

The media is failing in its job, to portray Barack Hussein Obama for what he is, a liar or a misleading individual who will not address the exact quote. Every time he talks on the issue now, he falsely implies McCain wants another 100 years of war. Only an idiot would believe such a thing. And only a liar would deceive Americans in such a way.

Obama is a great Democrat. To bad great in the Democrat party means a deceptive, conniving individual who puts his office ahead of the well being of the country. That is what I see in the party I once loved. Pathetic is the only description that comes to mind, you bunch of neosocialists.

And, don't forget, we still have a presence in Kosovo. Might I remind you that it was indeed an illegal war we waged there, as they did not attack a UN or NATO country, and there were no mass graves anywhere near the suggested numbers in the propaganda that took us there.

Unlike Iraq, who was under sanctions for invading Kuwait, and violating resolution after resolution. Violated the no fly zones, and was creating missiles that violated the rage restrictions. Iraq was a far more legal war then Kosovo, yet you never utter a word about that.

Did you not read your own quote? John McCain says: "Maybe a hundred. Make it one hundred." He explicitly says "Make it one hundred." and you're denying that he said he wants to make it one hundred years that we are in Iraq??

Yes, Obama will most likely raise taxes because it is the smart thing to do. Bush has spent us into a recession, squandered our surplus, and borrowed from China to fund his expensive war.

Your tax dollars are funding welfare and other social programs. Soon it will be universal health care too. I for one feel pretty good about that.
